Call for Papers

The Department of Economics at National Central University would like to announce that an international conference will be held on April 14, 2023, in Taoyuan, Taiwan. The theme of the conference is “Contemporary Issues on Trade, Economic Growth and Environmental Economics.”

Rising global uncertainties are drastically reshaping the international economic landscape. The purpose of this event is to provide a public forum where discussions can be effectively facilitated and information shared. We welcome submissions of both theoretical and empirical research papers that address challenges confronting global trade, economic growth and public policy concerning the environment in the face of increasing economic uncertainty. Submissions on other topics relevant to the conference theme are also welcome.

Some 10-15 papers will be selected for presentation at the conference. The authors of a subset of the conference papers will be invited to submit their papers for publication in a special issue of Economic Modelling. The usual double-blind review process in accordance with EM policies will apply. Final decisions regarding the publication of selected papers in the special issue will be made following the conference.
