The National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) invites Taiwanese applications for one postdoctoral fellowship in applied economics to start between 1 September and 30 November in 2020 and continue for up to two years. This fellowship aims to support top early-career economists from Taiwan to pursue policy-relevant research on health, education, and labor markets.

The fellowship provides monthly allowance (¥362,000 per month) plus support for oversea relocation expenses (¥200,000 plus a round-trip economy airfare). Fellows are integrated into GRIPS’ vibrant and collegial research community, leading to new sets of collaborators and mentors, and receive several opportunities to present and obtain feedback on their research. Fellows can be in any applied policy research area and must have completed their economics Ph.D. between 1 April 2014 and 29 November 2020.

GRIPS’ mission is to catalyze and promote evidence-based empirical analysis on pressing economic issues, leading to better-informed policy solutions for generations to come. For more information about GRIPS, visit http://www.grips.ac.jp/en/.
